There's No Track Like Home . . .

Well, track is probably a bit of a stretch. More like a practice oval with a few jumps in the back yard. But since the closest real track is over two hours way, it does just fine.

This has been an unusual year in Oregon, it's usually hot and dry by May and fire season is in full effect. It's been raining heavily and finally let up about mid-May.

My property sits on a base of fist-sized rock and clay. Period. No sand, no compromises. The up-side is that this makes for killer traction on our small track. The stuff is like play-doh. The down-side is that I've got three mini-creeks running through the center of the track.

Let's take a little walk around the property and see why I've got water running through my RC track . . . (continued, lots of pics on the way . . .)
